Inauguration of Phacoemulsification machine and Launching of Website
On 18.08.2011 Param Poojaniya Shri Nand Babaji of Ma Koruna Moi Ashram, Sohna visited our
hospital and inaugurated the new phacoemulsification machine ond also launched our website
(www.ruralmedicaresociety.org). The programme was attended by members, consultants ond staff members in large numbers. Param Poojniya Nand Babaji congratulated us on running this institution with dedication for the last 3 decades and gave his blessings.
Eye Camps
A free eye camp was held on 09.10.2011 at Mondi Pahari. 415 patients were examined and medicines were distributed to them, 221 spectacles were distributed free to the patients. 22 patients were operated for cataract.
A free eye camp was held on 22.01.2012 at Bhatti Mines. 383 patients were examined,
188 spectacles were distributed free to the patients. 35 patients underwent surgery for cataract.
Antenatal Camp
An Antenatal Comp was organised Dr. Upasana Gupta (Obs & Gynae) on 21.10.2011 to
spread owareness among expectant mothers.
Gurpurab
A langar was organised on 10th November 2011 by Dr. D.PS. Toor on the occasion of
Gurupurab. Staff ond Consultants and neighbourhood community participated.
Christmas Celebration
Christmas eve was celebrated on 24th December with usual gaiety and enthusiasm. The Christmas coke was cut by Mrs. Bandana Bagchi ond our staff presented carols and a small cultural programme which was enjoyed by all.
Annual Day Celebration
Annual day was celebrated on 12.02.2012 with a lot of enthusiasm. Dr. R.N. Das I/C Nursing Homes, Delhi Administration was the Chief Guest and Shri Rompal our Councillor was the Guest of Honour. Our Society members staff, Consultants, members from Maa Karunamayi Ashram and Koruna Care foundation ond invited guests attended the function in large numbers. Our staff and students of Our Community College presented a variety programme which included songs and dances. An impressive skit on the stale of women in our community was presented by a group of college students under the able direction of Mr. N.A. Siddiqui. A Debate on “Media — Bane or Boon” was held as a part Of our Annual Day and prizes were distributed in the function. A painting competition for school children was also organised as a port of our Annual Day celebration and prizes were distributed in the function.
